A Little Clumsy

JD was originally going to be a service dog, primarily for my allergies, but life had other plans.

I was able to do some of his training, mostly on how to behave on a leash in public. I had to fill out some paperwork for the part time job I had, so I took him with me to the store to get a little bit of practice in (he'd been able to go to several places before). He did really well!

He was staying close to me, walking at a good pace, stayed in the "down" position while I filled out the paperwork, and just generally did a great job! At the end of the trip, I decided to look around for just a minute. He continued to focus on me and walk well.

As he focused on me, he did it a little too well and didn't notice the display shelves.

He walked straight into the display.
