FAQs

  • No, Dr. Mike saved my life numerous times! When a tumor has been growing for as long as mine was, it can attach itself to the surrounding tissues or affect the pressure in the skull (which is hard to measure!). I also had several anatomical variations that contributed to my complications.

  • It is very real! My story is an anomaly, so I understand why you're skeptical. I have extensive medical records to back it up and I've had my doctors confirm it to others. To protect my privacy, I'm not publicly releasing a lot of it (plus there's too much) and will present any agents I work with proof to then have them verify it to my readers.

  • No, I am doing this both as a catharsis for myself and to help others like me. We need to end equating "women/disabled people sharing their stories" with "clout chasers/attention seekers".

  • Technically yes. I can walk short distances with help on a good day. My balance is very bad and I have other things going on that mean I will always need a wheelchair. There's more to walking than the ability to move your legs and a huge difference between walking a little bit and walking a lot!

  • This is permanent. I have made improvements, but there will always be some permanent things.

  • No, I can and will live a full life as a wheelchair user!
