Chronic SOS - December 1, 2023
How is it already December?!
Another year is coming to a close! It's been a very eventful year and December is gearing up to be busy as well!
I'll try to post for every major winter holiday, but with my conditions, it's possible that I'll miss some. I'll go ahead and wish everyone a fantastic holiday season!
For today, let's keep it serene with some wintry landscapes as I paint my mental journey through my idea of tranquility.
There's just something magical about a forest after a snow. The smell is crisp and sharp in your nostrils and quickly turns to a small puff of lightly chilled breath in the air. It feels like you're transported into a fairytale or dream - but it's still there when you open your eyes.
Or maybe you open your eyes to a snowy valley? When I picture absolute tranquility, I picture myself in a cabin in the valley and I'm by a warm fire as it snows lightly outside
I picture this trail in my evening strolls. JD weaves around the trees and my wheels lightly crunch as I make my way to follow his wagging tail ahead of me.
We return before nightfall and I turn on the kettle for tea. I dress in warm clothes before going to a small gazebo to stargaze. The world is quiet - except for the faint crackling of the firepit.
In the morning, my friends take the path to the cabin. It's early in the morning and the warmth of the sunlight fights against the chill of the wind.
And another day of peace begins.
I hope this helps you start the month with a few moments of tranquility before we get into the flurry of parties, dinners, appointments, gifts, cards, and seasonal chaos!
