Happy Mother's day!

In honor of all the mothers in the world, I'm going to share some pictures of the two animal mothers I've had as pets: Molly and Kimchi.

First up is a picture of my first two dogs, Molly and Frisky. We found Molly dumped out near my aunt's house in 2002. She was probably about 6 months old and was thin, s9 we didn't immediately recognize that she was pregnant. She gave birth to a litter of 8 puppies, though sadly only 2 survived.

We kept her daughter, Frisky, and the son, Buddy, went to my aunt's neighbor. Molly and Frisky lived with us until they passed away as spoiled old ladies. Though Frisky was larger than Molly, she knew Molly was her mom and in charge!

Keeping with the theme, next is a picture of me holding Kimchi and her babies. Similar to Molly, when I got Kimchi, she was a few months old and I didn't immediately notice that she was pregnant - I didn't know until about 3 weeks before she gave birth. I went to sleep one night and when I got up the next morning, she'd given birth to two babies Sushi (male) and Petunia (female).

I kept Petunia and Sushi went to a family friend. Both girls enjoyed their lives as spoiled pets. Kimchi and Molly were even friends! They probably had a lot to discuss: how to be pampered, preferred snacks, how children were exhausting, and how they should have received five times as much food.

Shoutout to all the moms out there: the human and fuzzy, the first time and the experienced, the part of a duo and the single, the disabled and the abled, the tall and the short, and every variety under the sun!
